It can't put words in your mouth.
A small AI model on your Mac does the tidying. Hed checks every change against what you said, and when in doubt, keeps your words exactly as you said them.

Questions
Does anything leave my Mac?
Your voice and your words don't. Hed downloads its speech and formatting models once, the first time you open it. After that it works without an internet connection. The only other time it goes online is when you send us feedback, and then it sends only what you wrote.
Which Macs does it run on?
Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) on macOS 14 Sonoma or newer. Hed keeps its models in memory so dictation is instant, about 3 GB; you can turn that off.
Which languages?
Nearly 100: English, Hebrew, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Hindi and many more. Hed switches between the ones you use without being told, and is most accurate in the widely spoken ones. Smart formatting (lists, corrections, emails) works in 14 of them: English, Hebrew, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Russian, Ukrainian, Turkish and Czech. In the rest, Hed types your words as you said them.
Is there really no subscription?
Really. Hed runs on your Mac, so there are no servers to pay for every month. You pay once and use it on all your own Macs, and if it isn't for you, you get your money back within 30 days. Pricing comes with the launch, and the waitlist gets the launch price.
What about iPhone?
Mac comes first. iPhone is planned; join the waitlist to hear when it's ready.
What happens to my email address?
It's kept in Hed's waitlist on Cloudflare, with the day you joined, and used only to tell you about Hed. It's never sold or shared. Write to hello@myhed.me and it's deleted.
Does this site track me?
No. There are no cookies and no trackers, and the page loads nothing from anyone else. The site counts visits per day and which link or website they came from, and that's all: nothing that could tell you apart from anyone else.
